What materials are used in the bag?
Our main fabric is a custom-made nylon twill that is sleek, durable, and water-resistant, paired with a durable and water-resistant vegan leather.
The high-contrast liner is a finely-woven nylon, which is silky smooth to the touch and surprisingly tear and stain resistant.
We use top-quality Duraflex® hardware and YKK® zippers, which are some of the best in the business, as well as premium full grain leather zipper pulls for a high-end look and feel.
Why do I need a raincover? Isn't it water-resistant?
Sure is! But here’s the thing - water-resistant doesn't equal waterproof. All but the most technical bags (aka: diver’s packs) have semi-permeable seams, and where there are seams, water can find its way in… if there’s enough of it. So while The Work-From-Anywhere Backpack can stand up to an occasional rainshower better than a lot of everyday bags, the Storm-Shield Raincover ensures that even in prolonged, soaking downpour, your expensive tech will be safe and sound.
What size water bottle will it hold?
The internal water bottle sleeves can fit up to a 40 oz. Hydroflask®, while the external sleeves can fit slimmer profiles, such as a S’well®
Will it fit under an airplane seat?
Yes, at 20L capacity, our bag is a TSA-Approved size for a personal item and fits perfectly under the seat in front of you.
Do you use recycled materials in the bag?
Yes, we use recycled PET (from plastic bottles) in our bags, but ultimately, the most sustainable bag is one that can be used for years and stays out of the landfill. We’re constantly striving to strike the delicate balance between durability and sustainability, and while our bags do use recycled plastic, we’ve made the decision to selectively use virgin fabrics where they are likely to improve the bag’s longevity, and thus, its environmental impact. We take sustainability very seriously, and will continue to be first in line for new fabric innovations that allow us to make the highest quality product at the lowest environmental cost.
Will it fit my laptop?
Chances are, yes. Our laptop compartment fits most 17” laptops, including the largest Macbook Pro.
What size shoes does the shoe bag fit?
The shoe bag can reliably store shoes up to a Men's Size 12 (US), but depending on the silhouette of the shoe, may be able to fit larger sizes.

The story of Bryn Mill starts back in Boston. We were a couple of ambitious college kids, and as interns, we were tired of our backpacks making us look and feel like students in the office.
A lot has changed since those early days. The way we work was turned upside down, and it became apparent that we needed better tools for the way we work today. If work can happen from anywhere, your bag is your mobile workstation. We thought it was time someone made it better.
